On June 25, at the Young Scholars’ Conference of GKS (Association for Canadian Studies in German-Speaking Countries), Albert Rau, a 1977 founding member of GKS, received the ICCS certificate of merit that Martin Kuester (University of Marburg) accepted on his behalf at the ICCS President’s reception of last May 28.

ICCS certificates of merit, bestowed each year, honour the contributions of certain individuals to the development of Canadian Studies in Canada and abroad.
