Theme: Reimagining Canada-Africa Relations: Knowledge, Innovation, and Sustainable Futures
The African Network for Canadian Studies (ANCS), an associate member of the International Council for Canadian Studies, invites scholars, researchers, practitioners, and graduate students to submit abstracts for its second International Conference, to be held virtually on 04 December 2026. Building on the success of its inaugural conference, this edition seeks to deepen interdisciplinary dialogue on Canada-Africa relations, with particular attention to innovation, sustainability, knowledge exchange and inclusive development in a rapidly evolving global context.

- Promote interdisciplinary research on Canada-Africa relations.
- Strengthen academic, institutional, and policy partnerships and collaborations
- Provide a forum for emerging and established scholars to share and discuss their research
- Advance dialogue on sustainability, governance and innovation.

Abstract Submission Guidelines
- Abstract length: 250–300 words.
- Include title, author(s), institutional affiliation(s), and 4–5 keywords
- Clearly indicate the relevant conference sub-theme.
- Submissions must be original and unpublished.
Important Dates
- Abstract submission deadline: 23 October 2026
- Notification of acceptance: 13 November 2026
- Conference date: 04 December 2026 (Virtual).
Support for Early Career Researchers
A limited number of presentation grants will be awarded to early-career scholars whose abstracts are accepted. These grants are intended to facilitate participation and promote inclusive international academic engagement.
